Question about flow mode w/controller

Hello,

I am using two 6000's on a multicontroller, "chance flow" mode, a combination of pulse and sequential. The pumps are plugged into outlets 2 & 4, so the flow goes like this: pumps off, pump one pulsing from 30%-100%, both pumps alternating 30%-100%, pumps off.

I have heard people mention that the controllers dont turn the pumps off, simply slow them down. In my case, arent the pumps being turned off? Is running the pumps this way bad for them? Is this just as bad as putting the pumps on another wavemaker?

I am really happy with the flow and would rather not change it.

It is fine, yes, in this mode they do get turned off but when controlled by the multicontroller it starts the pump in a way that avoids damage.

Thanks so much, I was worried I was hurting my pumps, but really did not want to change the flow.
