Question about my sps

So I've been trying SPS in my new tank and i have a few questions about them because the ones I have are showing negative behavior. First, my monti cap has good growth but the color is pale. Stylophora I got lost its bright pink and is now a brownish but has really good growth. Monti digitata is encrusting its base well but its branches arent growing, the color is fine though. Got two new acro frags about 4 or 5 days ago and are turning brown with ok polyp extension. This is a 25 gallon cube with an Illumagic m-45s LED (the one with more white LED's). Alk 8.5 calcium 420 mag is at minimum 1200. Another important thing is this tank is barebottom with no fish whatsoever just some snails. Setup is about 3 months old. Any thoughts?

What about your nitrates and phosphates? As far as the digitata, like almost all sps, they will start with the base to secure themselves before they start to grow out and upwards.

Ill check those tomorrow and ill let you know i run gfo so po4 shouldnt be a problem but we'll see. Nitrates should be low with almost no bioload.

PO4 might be a problem BECAUSE you run GFO. Insufficient phosphates will bleach your corals out and stunt growth. I target for about 0.03-0.05 ppm and feed daily+. You could try turning your GFO off for a few weeks to see if your colors come back.

+1 Try feeding more. My corals fade when I feed less.

Get some fish in the tank! need a little fish waste in the system for the coral to feed off! raise your mag to 1400! Do not over feed the tank you do not have much to feed plus then here come nitrate problems with over feeding!IMO chef

Interesting because I'm getting a combo of both color loss altogether and browning, depending on the coral. No3 and PO4 are both zero. I feed my LPS about once a week I'm assuming this isnt enough?

Ok so the par that these acros are receiving is about 150 which is **** poor isn't it?
