Question about possible swim bladder issue

When I came to feed my tank this morning I noticed that my Powder Brown tang wasnt swimming correctly. Its swimming on a diagonal with its tail on the upside. When it goes to move up in the water column it seems to almost shoot straight up, something reminiscent of a balloon underwater. It was not doing this last night at all and the only thing changed in the system was my regular pruning of bryopsis last night.

If it is swim bladder, what are my options here? I would prefer not to euthanize if possible but it does look like it is having difficulty staying away from the surface.

may be an internal parasite as well ... don't give up on him yet, but i would remove to quarentine where you can feed, monitor, and treat easier.

Garvin, sorry to hear about your trouble,it could be many different things simplest being just gas, ive had koi that lived a long time with total bladder failure,it can be a virus and possibly spread so qt is a good plan, google koi swim bladder disease there are treatments but prognosis is noy great, with any luck he'll do the flatulace dance and all will be well, best of luck
