Hi. I found a product down here in Texas called Hardness Plus from a pool supply retailer. They told me it's 97% calcium chloride, 2% sodium chloride and 1% potassium chloride. Would this be okay to use as the calcium part of the recipe? I can't find Dow Flake or Allclear, at least haven't come across it yet.
They also have an alkalinity buffer that they say is just baking soda. Would this be considered food grade baking soda if you get it at a pool supply place?
