Picked up a RBTA a week ago and hes doing great but looks like he may be trying to split, but im not sure. What do you think?

Getting rid of one if it splits, and I can not monitor them while lights are out/ sleeping. Last thing I want is 2 floating anemones getting sucked up by my powerheads.

How would you like to be put in a jar? If they split typically they will hide in the rock for a day or 2 just my .02

I would take it out of the jar,
Imagine a Woman being locked in a cupboard when shes about to give birth

I think it is healing from a split. Take it out of the jar or it may die. It does not seem to do too well (not attaching well at all). Good luck with it.

Oh gosh, get it out of that jar. That is cruel, if it is splitting, it is doing what month nature intended it to do.
And punishing it for doing so is just not right.
Cover the powerheads if you are worried about them floating around, which they almost never do after a split.
Good gosh.
I am so sorry for that poor thing.

I forgot to add, going by your pictures, it is not splitting.
You really need to learn about your livestock and what needs to be done to keep them happy and healthy.
I won't say what I really want to for fear of getting you mad, but this is just crazy to put such a beautiful creature in a jar.

+1

Bad post in bad taste. Can't specific forum mods clean posts like that up? In response to this post though, I can almost guarantee you're not in the company of a splitting anemone. There's no horizontal stretching across the mouth (Where anemones will ALWAYS split) that I can see from your first pic...if you have some showing otherwise, please share.

you guys need to ease up on this guy.comments like (this a horrible post, have the mods clean this up,are not right.thats what reef central is for in part.for those who know,to help those who dont.he put it in a jar so it wouldnt get sucked up in his powerhead.most of us,and i mean most, have killed, maimed, bought livestock, corals etc. only to relize that we dont know a thing about what we just bought, more so when your new to the hobby.so instead of responding poorly, give this guy sound advice.if you dont have sound advice, dont give any.
