OK I have some juniors who want to stay active with the tanks/aquariums through next year (even though they won't even be in my class, they want to come in on their lunches and take care of things --- whew!).

We are doing a fundraiser, and want to buy corals that hopefully will have plenty of time to grow during the last 2 months of school and over summer. We mostly want to grow LPS, softies, zoo's etc. Where do you think is the best ONLINE place to buy this stuff. (yes, yes I know ICHTHY is the bomb, but we are buying this stuff online or maybe even locals who have a lot).

We're looking to spend about $500-800. We want nice shrooms/zoos -- preferably aquacultured so they grow faster. Lots on a rock - none of this 1-3 shroom stuff. Also want xenia, GSP, LPS etc. I'm still too afraid of SPS but we may (shiver) buy a couple. We want things that will grow alot and grow fast and still be pretty.

Let me know where and what you think to buy.
 
well you can get enough xenia from all of the people on here to fill up a 900 gallon tank so dont worry about that one lol. also xenia doesnt ship very well at all so you dont want to have it mailed.
 
hey ladufsu, ive been meaning to give you that free anthelia ive been promising you. Also i can donate some GSP its not a huge colony but it'll grow very fast and iw ould love to come in and see your students and see this school project in action!
 
That would be awesome!!!!!! We're fixing a couple tanks that are leaking but should be back in FULL SWING after spring break! Do you live by the USF campus?
 
I'll donate some Kenya Tree and Xenia. Let me know how, when and where. I'm in Seminole but work in Tampa by RJ Stadium.
 
I have a small rock of Zoo's and a rock with yellow polyps, three mushrooms on it if you would like those. Free of course, if it's going to teach the kids about our reefs. Just let me know.

ladyfsu, i live right next to the USF tampa campus, but not on campus itself. If you do a fundraiser you should do the worlds finest chocolate...ill definetly be a customer...especially the almond ones MMMM. Anywas just let me know, i can come deliver them if you want.

Well, we did one fundraiser. It went somewhat bad. We made some money but they were SO late in getting us the goods that some of the students had already withdrawn etc. We have about $500 worth of stuff left now to sell that we'll do at 1/2 price at school.

We are doing a car wash in a few weeks. I used to coach softball and we'd make about $600 in 5 hours.

To make matters worse, someone stole some very nice lights that were donated to us. They were used but VERY nice. Sometime in the last 4 days they were hijacked and I DON'T think it was a student...grrrr!!!!

NIC: Thank you very much for the offer. This isn't something that's going to fit in the back of a pick-up is it?
