questions about this SPS

ok I've had this for about a month now and it was bought off of a reefer who was selling his whole tank (I didn't get to talk to him, a friend picked it up) and i've got it under 6x54W T-5 tek light about five inches from the top. What exactly is it and does it look healthy?

It is montipora cap and looks no problem.

so does it just grow out in a plate like that? I paid $25 for it and it's about 5" across.

Yeah, it looks really good and 25 is a good price too. enjoy it because they are great corals.
