Quoyi parrot feeding

Yes tank bio load is affecting things. Tank has algae all the sudden. I'm doing water changes more often to try to help. However instructions on medicine say to keep skimmer off. Other fish in tank are eating just fine is the only reason I didn't mention it.

So do I stop treatments, turn skimmer on, and hope the ick doesn't pop up with a vengeance? One angel has 2 spots. Rest seem ok so far. I know there immune system will take over but I didn't want them overwelhmed

Well, my advice is likely useless now, since I think you are using snake oil and would refer you to the disease forum so you could investigate acceptable treatments for ich.
Their immune systems will not take over. Ich is a parasite. Immunity applies to diseases.
Since its a divisive topic, I won't comment on it further.
Again, good luck, I hope you are able to pull them through.

Thanks for the help. Didn't realize that you had started fish keeping without incident or mistake from day one. God I'm so stupid for asking for help

You can ask for help, just give all details necessary to maximize success. Ruby Reef or whatever your referring to will not work for ich. Only treatments that work for ich are some form of copper treatment, ie cupramine. hypo salinity has varied success. Tank transfer method and chloroquine phosphate

Of all of the methods for getting rid of ich the TTM has the highest success rate and is the least stressful on the fish. Why use anything else?

Well I'd gladly do that. Here are my circumstances. I have a fish that's not eating and hadnt for about 14 days. I tried putting him in a small qt tank and he just sat listlessly at the bottom. I also have two other fish that require big tanks and can be jerks to other fish unless given room. Then I have a diamond goby, blenny, and sixline that I don't think I could catch if I wanted to. Im very aware this isn't ideal. I'm retroactively trying to deal with something that was handled improperly from the start. So what do I do? Go buy another 150 ga tank w sump and skimmer etc and cycle it for months then do this or?

Oh I do understand your dilemma for sure. Sadly to do TTM you would have to have two extra tanks along with supporting equipment.. Sadly, I suppose in your case the copper is the way to go. This is what happens once we reach a certain point with very large tanks. I at one time was there too. I'm now content with my little but sufficient 40b.

Hopefully the treatment goes well for you, keep us posted please.

Copper meds are absorbed by rock correct? So in other words, no inverts could go in tank after treatment

Nope, I've made mistakes, and I've done my best to correct the ones I could.
Continuing your current path because it would be hard or expensive to do something else means our methodologies differ (drastically.) I don't understand the hostility when I note I have nothing meaningful left to add to your situation. If you'd rather I can continue to post each time you do, noting you should go read the stickies on Ich in the disease forum, its just not going to be helpful to anyone.
Again, good luck, I hope you are able to pull them through.

Yep I do.

Ok so I'm pretty much out of options.

The parrot has cloudy eyes. Who knows if flukes or ick or whatever. Just did water change and guess I'll just turn my skimmer and carbon back on and wait.
No other options.

Petco and PetSmart both are having $ per gal sale, I would get a couple of 20's an air pump long piece of hose several cheap air stones and two cheap heaters. This way you have at least the ability to do the TTM on a few fish without spending a ton of money. I'd start with your parrot fish.

Hmmm found a 150 ha for sale locally for $600. Guess I could set up as hospital tank and treat with copper. Leave dt empty for 80 days
