Radium Bulb and Sunpod Fixture

Ok guys, I need a little bit of help. I have a 20" 150W Sunpod that goes on top of a BC 29. The stock bulb is getting close to replacement, and I've been considering new bulbs. I was wrestling between the Phenix 14K and the Radium 20k. So, I've been reading about both for awhile, trying to decide, and leaning towards the Radium. I ordered one at a good price from a fellow reefer. Then, I saw a thread where a guy was explaining that his Supod wouldn't fire the Radium bulb. Of course I never saw this until after I ordered.... I just think if this was a giant issue, I would have seen something about it previously.


Did I make a mistake? Does anyone have firsthand experience?

Really? I would think it would fire it no problem. The Sunpod 150w uses and enclosed electronic ballast which should fire it.

I would think there would be no probs as the Radium Bulb was rated for an Electronic Start ballast.
