Is this pistol killing my red leg hermits? I never see the Yasha goby that is paired with it, except sometimes in the pistols different burrows. Came home to a blown apart front half of the hermit infront of the pistol's hole.. Any ideas on how to get the goby to appear more often?

yea the pistol will prob knock out some of your cleanup crew snails and hermits. if you hear a clicking at night that's him taking care of em. the goby will come out more often to eat etc. just give him time. they seem to be very very skidish at first but adjust nicely. feed more or in smaller portions several times a day if you arent already and that should help with the goby a bit.

I have a candy cane pistol and I'e watched him nuke a snail or hermit here and there who wandered into his hole, but never cracked a shell. I'd say chances are that specific shell had some weak spots and the pistol got a lucky clean shot.
Mine is paired with a high fin goby. They paired in the bag before they even went into the tank, but sometimes people have waited months for pairing, or like me, they pair fast then 'break up' for a while then pair back up.
