I agree with Brian, plus always remember that each fish is an individual.
I have had Big maroon Clowns that were big babies, and not aggressive in the least. And I have had Blennies that were just mean.

I think that by taking a fish out of the sea and sticking it in a big glass box, we are automatically increasing their aggression levels. In the big ocean they have plenty of room, in a small tank they "need" to care about space, so they are more aggressive.

Regal angel?

Most Regals I've owned or observed seem pretty indifferent to other fish.

Keep in mind, the Regal Angel and Clown Tang are very difficult fish to keep. Tank conditions are VERY important and there are very very few tanks I would suggest a Clown Tang for even though they've always been one of my favorite fish. Regals angels are caught using cyanide and other drugs quite often and if you must try one I'd avoid specimens from the Phillipines and maybe even Indonesia. I would not consider as Regal from anywhere unless it's a very large tank, is well established, and has plenty of live rock and a history or great success. Even then there's a good chance you'll run into problems.

For every Regal Angel or Clown Tang that you see down well and living a long life in someones aquarium there are probably hundreds that die within a year.

My Regal is a big baby, she ignores everyone in the tank "so-far"
Just be sure to get one from a reputable source >Also the Regals from the Red Sea, are far more colorful, and are said to be collected "the right way". They stand a far better chance of survival. I would NOT put a Regal into anything other than a reef tank.
