Rbta lost a piece of tentacle

Just as the title says it has lost a small section of a tentacle. Now I don't know why but I can tell u that the anem looks like a model of health because it is large and vivid. You can see in the pic I attached that the top part looks like some tentacles are winding or curling. I don't know if it is from that or if the clown did it? But the piece that fell off looks black at the site of the tear but still colorful at the tip. All water parameters are good or in the normal operating range and no changes have occurred. This has happened once befor almost a week ago and was the same thing. Only one tip was found on the sand bed and it's just a small piece.

Mine has done that before also and they are all healthy so i am not sure why it happened but i wouldnt worry about it

I'd say that your clown fish is to blame. I'm not sure why they do it but I've seen my own pair tear a tentacle off their anemone before.

sometimes clowns can bite it off..

also possible with hitchhikers.. my anemone got chopped by an unwanted hermit crab. took me awhile to find him. BTA lost most of its tentacles

Awesome thank you so much. I had a feeling that it was the clown sometimes he sucks and looks to inhail the tentacles. I wonder if they do that to just hang on or if they are sleeping. Anyway thanks for the response.
