rbta split... the hard way!... help

Hi just a quick question.
Weve had this nice rbta in our tank for about 2 months and all was going well. Our maroon clown hosts comfortably in the anenome and all seemed right. About 3 days the rbta started moving around and stayed in about 5 different places untill yesterday he settled just at the base of a MJ 1200 powerhead. He suffered no ill effect there but I unplugged the powerhead just in case so he doesn't get sucked up. Well tonight while I was doing some maintenance the powerhead fell from its spot and unfortunately the anenome was stuck to both the powerhead and the glass and was torn in half, about evenly in half. one piece still stuck to the glass, and another settled onto the substrate in a corner of the tank.
Is it possible that theyll live as two seperate anenomes? or should I consider them both lost?
Anything I can do to preserve them maybe?
Thanks, your help is appreciated

heres a pic of the pet in question just for fun

If both halves are still able to hold onto the substrate and cinch their "open" sides closed (within a day or two) they'll likely be fine. Best thing you can do is leave them be.

I'd be a little worried that the marron may be a little too big for the 2 clones. As for the anemones give 'em a week or two to redevelop their mouths and start with small feedings...
