rbta splitting ?

is it ok to feed a rbta while it is splitting or should i wait till its done and also how long does it usually take to split

i lucked out because i was gonna sell it and then i almost changed my mind because i thought would miss it and the wife was not to happy with it either but now i can still sell it and have one

Don't feed it. When they split, they do it at the mouth. You need to wait a couple weeks for the the halves to heal and new mouths to form.

Sorry your question how long? Mine split on the glass. It started on the foot, took about 8-10 hours, it was exciting I photographed the whole thing.
