RBTA turning green at the base of bubble tips 2 weeks after clone cut

I have a RBTA that's turning green at the base of bubble tips 2 weeks after a single clone cut. They both have foots firmly attached and the Tips are at an ideal bubble size. Don't look wilted at all

It happening on both, I figure its either a Tri-color morph or dieing.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

(can't get a good pic)

I'm a little new to some terms, so not sure I'm reading it too literal... but, did you cut the nems apart? or is that a term for when they split unassisted?

I took a very sharp knife and Cloned it by cutting it in half right down the middle of the foot and mouth

Hmm... never heard of doing that... Sorry, I can't offer any advice! I thought they could only (safely) split naturally. Kinda curious what others have to say though! Good luck! :)

I have heard you can cut them and manually clone em. Not sure exactly if thats the safest way, but have heard of people having success with doing it. Hopefully they will pull through, best of luck.

Bubble tips are cloned very easily doing this, as long as its a healthy nem and a clean system. As for the base of tentacles turning green, a lot of rbtas have a green base that doesn't show up unless the tentacles are deflated, like when stressed or sleeping/pooping. Mine is deep red, but when new in my tank or when shrunk down, it shows the base of the tentacles are green.

Yea ther are looking healthy, the original was like a foot + opened. I should of done a 1/4ed cut but played it safe
