RBTAs and Powerheads/Canister Filters/Pufferfish

Why?

I'm asking because I used one for 12 years and was fairly successful.

Kevin

A lot of people consider them "Nitrate Factories" but many of them are also the people who never clean the canister filters. If you clean it weekly/biweekly/whenever you do your water changes it is a great addition to a saltwater tank and is a fantastic place to load up a bunch of chemipure elite!

;)

Just don't like absolutes dropped without any explanation - especially since they are rarely absolute. :D

Back on the subject, yes, cover every inlet (sponge filters are nice and can be bought in many sizes that can be cut to fit your application). Otherwise, you will eventually have a sliced, diced or pureed BTA.

Been there, done that, have the sponge filters to prove it.
