Re-doing rock work

I am finally winning the battle with my HA and figure it is a good time to redo my rock work. My plan was to take out about half of the rock and scrub off all the algae. Then I will make a nice structure. I have an extra 30g I can use to keep the rock wet and store it if I need to take a break or something. Once the first structure is done and in place I will take the rest of the rock out and do the same thing.
Is there anything I should pay special attention to? Will my corals be ok it i just put them on the sand bed until the rock is back in place?

That is a good plan, I am going to be redoing the rock work in my 90 gal fuge this weekend too.

When you take out the rocks you will notice that underneath the rocks there will be tons of detritus and you want to vacuum that out, make sure you have some make up water available to replace what you siphoned out.
