I bought a 2-3" Green Bubble Tip Anemone last Saturday and acclimated it slowly before adding it to my 7 month old 30g reef tank. The tank has been running stable for months with no coral loss (has LPS, softies, and SPS all doing well). The params are within normal/recommended values and shouldn't be shifting too much between tests.
The GBTA looked very happy up until Wednesday when I spot fed it Cyclopez. The next day it was very deflated in the morning and perked back up when the lights went on. It was still on the rock where I placed it (attached and moved slightly down into a crevice) which was fairly in the open and in direct light (which are 2 T5 bulbs 10000k and actinic, with 2 24" blue LED strips. The LED turn on for 2 hours in the morning, off for 2 hours, then both for 2 hours, and off, and then both for 4 hours and then the LED stay on for 2 more.) Since then it has been deflating when the lights aren't on and moved further into a crevice half way under the rock. The last few days it has inflated less than before. It is looking fairly feeble, but its foot still looks anchored and it has all of its color despite being very deflated and moved to the far side of the rock.
Are there any opinions on what I can or need to do to make it happier/healthier?
