Red bugs?

btw, i make sure none of my frags have any pests before swapping.

It's cool dude. Don't sweat it. Many dont know when thy have pests. It's the risk we all take. Not to mention there is such a variety of life in our aquarium, pods of all shapes sizes and colors. Heck reef nutrition tiger pods are small and red.

I was given what you need for those so if you want to come by my place send me a pm.

well if you want to treat your tank with interceptor, remove all crabs, shrimps, and crustaceans cuz they might die. some ppl treat and leave em in but usually something dies

I left my shrimp, snails, carpet anemone, and clams in my tank when i treated last year. all survived and my pod population made it also. Others have reported some hermits and shrimps dying.

I could have said, 'yes, as a matter of fact i fragged that entire yellow acro and sold them all' but some ppl cant take a joke and when rumors start they spread like wildfire.

thanks for bringing this thread up.
Got home today and went checking on my corals and surprisingly I found red little creatures crawling around my acropora. Oh man this guy is so small and I almost went blind inspecting my acropor. Where can buy the stuff to treat my tank? If you have some local please pm me.

you would have to get a prescription from the vet, its heart worm medicine for dogs.

Hey Brian, I apologize for my comments I didn't intend to come across as accusing you of spreading anything, but I was concerned about my own tank as I did buy some frags from the frag tank at SCRK and although I dip all my new frags in Coral RX I'm sure it does not kill red bugs.

I treated with interceptor last week on all of my corals and they look like heck. Worse than before. But that's cause of me not the interceptor.

I did it for 4 days in a 20g bin. Needless to say I broke at least 8 corals. Next time I will treat the entire tank. I only lost about 8 tiny stars. I also used the flat worm exit just as a precautionary measure since im aetting up a new tank dont want any new issues. I also treated all of my new LR with the same stuff.

I hear you. yeah sometimes revive and rx isnt a 100% guarantee that you wont get those pests and i KNOW red bugs can be frustrating and my greatest fear is getting aefw. But if it happens it happens and thats what's great about these threads and scrk. we help each other out.
