red dragon 3 80watt flow rate

I may have missed it but couldn't find any info on the flow rate for the 80 watt pump. Does anybody have experience with it first hand or does anybody know the flow rate? And possibly the flow rate of the 230 watt as well.

I run an RD3 80 watt pump on a closed loop. I am considering upgrading to the 230 watt unit as my 80 watt is under sized for the Dart that it replaced.

The RD3 80 watt pump maxes out at 8000 liters per hour which is about 2100 GPH. This is at 0' head pressure. Their data sheet says 9000 LPH or 2300 GPH but everything I have seen indicates 8000. The difference may be Eu vs the US version.

The RD3 230 watt pump is rated up to 5400 GPH! It's a beast.

The first ones did arrive already and were sold at RAP Orlando. The next batch of them are supposed to arrive in the states in a week or so but I am not sure how fast the dealer network will have them. You might want to call or email Premium Aquatics and ask them when they are expecting them.

Oh, you are such a tease!!!!! Look at that titanium strainer!! Wow, talk about not cutting corners. Any other company would have made it out of plastic and called it day. Then again, this is Royal Exclusiv we are talking about. I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from you guys. That thing is beautiful!! I wan't one and am really looking forward to getting my hands on one!!! :thumbsup:

Mine will run externally in place of a Super Dart Gold. Those strainers are a great idea! I could really use one for my RD3 Supermarin skimmer pump! Let me know how I can get one or if I can use the one for the RD3 230 watt on my RD3 supermarin pump.
