Reef Brite LED's - Now Taking Orders!

Jeremy,
I have a 50 gal mixed softies, LPS, SPS 36" x 15" x 20" with bult in filter. If I go with xho's how many would I need. I have a standard RB 50/50 know along with a current sundial 4x 39w with a 3 to 1 mix, and was looking add 2 more RB's (1) 50/50 & (1) Blue and add an all white possibly down the road. I don't want it to blue so for know I have a 36 corallife T5 for additional white.

I was also looking to go with the vertex. If went with them this would be that they can be controled with 0-10v unlike the RB's. RB says there coming out with a controler, but haven't heard anything. Heck they don't even have there website updated showing the xho's yet.

@ari - The 60" and 72" RB's are not available in XHO, only the 48" and down.

@barney - If you went with XHO's I would start with 2 of them, assuming that the 15" measurement is the front to back measurement of the tank. If it's 20" front to back I think you could still get by with the 2 x XHO's. If you do the standard RB's you would want to start with 3 of them.

The Vertex is only controllable by their Cerebra controller that will be coming out soon. If you want to control it off of something else you would have to change the driver out yourself.

Thanks Jeremy,

I think I'm going the standard reefbrites since I already have one. Hopefully going to be able order them this weekend.

Jeremy,

I would like to know the dimension on the regular reefbrite strips 60" and how many bulbs in there. Are they using Creed LEDs in the regular strip? I plan to put 5 strips in the middle of my ATI 60" fixture to get shimmer.

I purchased a Reef Brite strip 48" all blue at ebay from a seller the sells used merchandise. I received the strip but there is no power supply.

My question is, the power supply is sold separately? I don't find a vendor that sells just the power supply.

I would suggest contacting the seller and asking for a return / refund. The fixture doesn't do you a whole lot of good without a power supply, unless you can source one by itself. I don't know of anyone who sells just power supplies only.

Jeremy thanks for the answer. It was a very good deal and there was no indication that the power supply was not included.

Jeremy, i wonder if

2 white and 2 actinic totally 4 36" strips enough for my

36"L *30W* 20H 90gallon

sps and anemone tank

and r they dimmable and compatible to my GHL Controller II--not ex

Thanks!

I think that would be pushing it some, although if you could space them far enough apart you might be fine. The nice thing about it is if it's not enough you can always add another, since it's all modular.

They are not dimmable right out of the box, however they will have a dimmable power supply very soon.

Hey Jeremy,

What is the wattage for every Reef Brite XHO 24" Blue/White LED light Strip?

Do they come with the power supply?

I'm planning on buying 3 of those to light my 60" X 25" X 19" (LWH) SPS/LPS & clam tank

I currently have an ATI 6X39" which I want to get rid off due to the light bill.

I haven't hooked up the 24" XHO to a kill-a-watt yet so I can't give you exact numbers, however they're rated at 30w. They do come with a power supply, plug and play ready to go right out of the box.

Jeremy,

Thanks for your advice.

If I had to choose between 2 Ecoxotic Panorama 17.5" LED System or 4 Reef Brite XHO 24" Blue/White LED light Strip? Which would you recommend for a 60" X 25" X 19" (LWH) LPS tank with a few SPS and a clam?
