Reef Brite LED's - Now Taking Orders!

I purchased a 48" Reef Brite strip of blue leds for my 125 gallon reef tank to supplement the blue color and get those amazing fluorescent colors! I have to say that the colors are amazing.

For those interested in seen the effect of the leds in my reef here are some photos to compare. First is with two MH 175w 20K and two VHO's UVL 160w one ActinicWhite and one 454. Without and with the leds.

Hi Jeremy,

I'm currently using an ATI 8x54 dimmable over my 120 gallon (48"x24"x24") and would like to add that LED color everyone refers too. I'm thinking of using the new XHO Reefbrite attached on one end of the fixture for the all blue XHO and maybe another all white XHO to try and get some shimmer. Do you think the XHO's would give me what i'm looking for?

Do the XHO's come with a dimmable power supply?

Thanks

If you're after the shimmer the best bet is the all white. However, some of the blue pop will be washed out by the white. My thoughts would be to use the all blue first, and see how much shimmer it gives you to see if it's enough. If it's not enough maybe take a look at the 50/50 for extra shimmer so it doesn't was the blue out as much with all of the white.

What about the dimmable power supplies? Are they available for the xho's yet?

Thanks

Will the one 60" RB in blue be enough to cover a 72X30X24? I have 3 250 MH with 20k radium and thinking of adding more blue to the mix, any suggestions?

You will not see a bunch of difference with a single module, but you'll definitely be able to see some extra pop in the colors.

im thinking of getting the new xho 48" all blue, now if the other strip comes with 24 leds, and this one comes with 36 now. So thats 36 3w led's correct ?? or how many watts total usage is this 48" strip ?? thanks

Thanks for the fixture, I'm loving the 36" white xho! Very nice warm white color that unfortunately my AI's cannot duplicate. Have you heard anyword of a 72" xho, interested in supplementing the sol blues with some more shallow sunlight color RBs? Also interested in the dimmer, thanks.

I just got a 50/50 48" XHO and hooked it up to a ups which has a Watt meter function built in, two separate ones to check them off each other because I wasn't sure how accurate they would be, but they both showed 64W. So if these results are accurate that would be almost 1.8W per LED.

Jeremy this is Warren from Dallas. We talked about a month ago. Anyways I have a 150 gal tank. 72" long. I have 3x400wattx12k Reeflux supplemented with 2 antinic VHOs. I can see the VHO supplementation while my 400's are on. If I went with the new XHOs, what would I need to buy? Can I get away with 2 48" strips?

group buy

You would probably be just fine with a couple of 48" strips, although the intensity of blue might not be quite as much on the ends as it will be under the modules themselves.

Unfortunately there are no group buys going on for this right now. If you want to organize one you are more than welcome to though.

I have 2 48" reef brights for about a year now. I love the color and low heat. They brighten up the 180 gal tank extremely well. However, recently one of the power strips went bad. How do I replace it? How much is a new power adaptor?

Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Is it the power supply that went out, or is the module having an issue? Did you swap power supplies to see if the bad one would work?

I think you might be surprised. I ran a 2 x 48" modules on a 75g tank with absolutely no problems at all, did very well over a mixed reef.

Hey Jeremy,

Are the Reefbrites on your website the XHO version? I was under the impression the 48" had 54w with 36 LED's

Thanks
