Reef Brite LED's - Now Taking Orders!

OK after reading all 17 pages i want one as well :)
Currently i have standard 55g and 4x54 T5. Two UVL super actinic and two aqua sun, which one should i buy blue or 50/50?? and where is should be located, on the front or back??
I have softies and LPS.

Thanks

I would go with the all blue module. You will really like the colors that it pops out. The 50/50 is decent, but doesn't do a ton in the way of coloration. I'ts more for blending and punch to use the modules as a single lighting solution.

The Illumina is not the same as Illumilux. The Illumilux would be the comparison for the ReefBrite modules. The Illumina is the full fixture from Vertex which puts out a significant amount of more PAR than what these modules are capable of doing.

It will be hard to say if the XHO has that much more light output, if any at all, than what the Illumilux does. I can't wait to get them in and test them.

I guess the xho is not too many more watts, maybe just a better light spread along the full length of the fixture from the look of the pics.

The XHO will have the same power supply, non-dimmable to begin with. We will have them available for pre-order in the next few days or so. We are not anticipating our first shipment until late April / early May.

Well I just ordered a 48" reef brite LED for supplemental lighting on my 90 gallon. I currently have an ATI 6x54w sunpower and I am hoping this will add some nice colors to my corals. I am really looking for that florescent color on my corals.
Now I see there are Reef Brite XHOs coming out soon, man I can never stay up to date. Oh well I think I will be happy with this LED light.

Hey Jeremy I just got my all blue reef brite and man is it nice adds the nicest tint of blue to the tank..now I want to add another one to supplement my T5''s should I add an all white one or 50/50 to go along with the blue.

I would do the all blue, then compensate for any whitening you need by changing out a T5 lamp. The all blue LED will really help to pop the colors in the tank.

I would still go with 4 personally, as the spread coming out of the module is not going to change at all. Having said that, I haven't tested the XHO's yet, so I can't give you a whole lot of information on those at this time.

I do not have an exact eta at this time. Once we do have a better idea as to when we are getting them I will post back here.
