Reef Central Members Buy Huntington Beach Store

I just made my weekly visit to my favorite OC store Ocean Reef at the corner of Brookhurst and Adams in Huntington Beach(next to Stater Bros.). It was my favorite because the owner was honest and prices were reasonable. They didn't have anything fancy but I felt I needed to support an honest business in our hobby.

Low and behold I walk in there is a new owner Reef Central's own Raskal311(also known as Kevin).Kevin and two Reef Central friends have bought the store and plan on some big changes and upgrades.New tanks, better lighting, better selection and plan on having reasonable prices. A 240 and 160 reef tank, etc...

I walked out a few bucks lighter got a nice LPS and was happy to see the store will continue with an honest owner and improvements.

Best of luck to the three of them. Now its up to us to support them.

All papers were signed yesterday !!!! Since the store was in the red before we took it over I will have to keep my day jobs to may be rent and electric bill I’ll keep this short to keep with forum rules so I’ll just say thanks you to everyone for the warm welcome. im very happy to hear about someone from RC taking over a shop....VERY HAPPY... only a person from RC would know about what "We" think about LFS's and be able to make "Improvements" accordingly... i would be more then willing to spend a few bucks here and there at raskal311's shop. look forward to the grand opening...Keep us posted :thumbsup:
