Some of you are breaking the 150k rule.

Maximum image size is 900 pixels on the longest dimension and the file size cannot exceed 150k.

You are correct... so if I resubmit my pic (now setup under the 150k), does this count as a 2nd image? Regardless here it is:

This particular thread started in November, so I would think it was the November entries. But since I'm not sure, I thought I'd ask.

yep, but since this contest was started at the end of november, it would make sense that the submissions would be voted on for the December contest. It says in the beggining of this thread that submissions will end for this months contest on the 20th and on that date the submissions for the next months contest will begin. Since this thread was created after the 20th of November you can conlude that the entries are for the month of December.

these are the first couple of pictures that i've taken of my tank. i'm pretty happy with them despite the lack of color from the corals that you all have. hopefully soon i'll have coral.

Could you please explain how to reduce the file size to 150k wthout making the quality of the photo poor. I have tried in Photoshop, but the image ends up quite blocky or way too small on the screen.

Rod, when you save your image, do a SAVE FOR WEB instead. Then save it as a .jpg, setting the QUALITY to 52 (off to the right of your screen, pictured below).
