I have a Profilux 3 with all the bells and whistles. The huge downside to the Profilux is you need to have a very strong understanding of how to program to enable you to utilize all the advanced functions the Profilux can do.
To be honest, GHL should have preprogrammed code already written and tested for different advanced features (closed loop, ATO, etc), that you should be able to just download and install on the controller.
I plan on switching to the APEX in a couple weeks. I honestly believe the Profilux could be such an amazing controller if their instruction manual made sense, they had better customer support and you didn't need a PH.D in programming to use it. I am not alone in this, I know a couple Reef Store owners that have tried to program different features for clients and failed and they received very little help from the Canadian distributor on how to code the unit.
