I had forgotten RC will not allow links to other reef sites. I will take this to a pm since you are still asking about the reference to the link. Apologies to OP.
As for your 220+75= 295 gallon system with SPS, clams and a fair fish load, the best choice is the INS350/INS350E.
Seeing as how you are budget conscience I would go for the INS350 and if, at a later date finances allow, upgrade to the EHEIM pumps as they are a simple swap.
I hope those answers help you in your decision. Again, thanks for your patience!
I recently fitted a BB2000 to my Euroreef 135. The BB cleasrly puts out more air than the Sedra and uses less electricity. BUT, it produced an unacceptable (for me). I spoke with the tech guy and ultimately decided to pot it in my salt make up tank to "break in" for 30 days. There's no rubber in the impeller shaft mounting which may be a contributor. As to ER, excellent USA construction..well built, direct service by the entrepreneur (Jeff) and available parts. And, yes, it works quite well after some 5 years now in my system. Now, if I can get the BB to be less intrusive I'd be a very happy camper.
Do you have pics?

Sounds like a nice history........................The Euro Reef/Reef Dynamics skimmers are proven for many years and have probably produced more world class tanks than any other pinwheel design to date. Jeff and his team at Reef Dynamics don't follow trends. Their skimmers are well balanced, easy to tune and very straightforward. In fact, the Euro Reef design is probably the most copied design of any skimmer on the market..............
I couldnt hav said it better myself...
look at the name...
"euro-reef" even implied it was some fancy european skimmer design..
if i was deltec or h&s, i would have been ****ed at them, even though the skimmers were basically not comparatively as good AT ALL.
like schuran should have gone after red sea for the berlin triple pass skimmer...even though berlin skimmers were an utter POS failure.
so all in all, with everything thats available now, there's no way you could get me to pay the overinflated price of a reef dynamics skimmer with crappy chinese pumps, or a poorly modded eheim.
thanks but no thanks...
