REEF flyers..

IN order to encourage a reef club that was first suggested by Gomer I am taking steps to make sure if we are all in we are on our way..

I spoke to CLarks today and was told we would be able to post a flyer (lomas as least) in order to help encourage nmok (or if we rename it) participation ...

I also spoke with Jen today as well and told her the boards are more active and we wanted to proceed..AS far as she knows the club account is closed but she is willing to give me the information on NMOK (ie members contacts etc.) I asked her if she was interested but she declined for now..

Just got off the phone with ROB and he said we can place a flyer at SWRC and RIVERSIDE aquarium(RR) as well..BEING of course we the club (or more specific appointed members of nmok) carry themselves in a respectable manner(no trash talk K)..
I would guess next steps elevate member #'s then appoint elect officials ie(pres, secretary, etc..

I think it is a great idea to get the word out. Thanks for stepping up on this to get the ball rolling.

One thing we did talk about at our last shindig, was if we should in fact keep the name NMOK or truly start over with a new name. I'm not creative, but if you have any ideas to suggest, I and others are all ears :-D

Let me see if I can get the fliers from my old club. They were pretty nifty. One side was eye candy and minimal info, and the backside had the club mission statement and other club info. (sorta like glossy post cards)

thats awesome glad i can see this in action. for some names to throw out there like Albuquerque Reefers. yada yada yada. I got more just kinda look dumb after saying(typing) outloud. I think this should be one of the top topics on saturdays meeting.

looks like this is really starting to take off. congrats on the movement. i know getting organized at first is kind of a pain, but then after that it is mostly fun. We (STARS) just held our official First election.

I am glad that this club is off and running and am looking forward to the aquarium trip this summer.

again congrats on the hard work you guys have put into getting the wheels moving.

lucky guys heading for fragging and good times. a few names to jot down are albuquerque reefers, NMRK-new mexico reef keepers, NMCC or NMCK or ACK (for seesick) new mexico coral crew or new mexico keepers or albuquerque coral keepers. the only thing with these names is it sounds more coral/reef hobbyists and doesnt include all those with fish only tanks. Not ever being in a reef club or what have you, I dont know if the majority is reefers or if any just fish keepers join or not.
