I have been keeping reef tanks for awhile and i have never come across this worm I found today. I started noticing something was eating the crowns of my feather dusters but I couldn't figure out what....till I saw it... this worm (I think it's a worm) would bury it's whole body inside the tube of the feather worm.. (with the featherduster worm) and it's head would just stick out and eat the crown(feathers... one by one.) Nasty little bugger... I searched online couldn't find it.... went to some local LFS and they had no idea.. (i finally caught it... and brought it in to them) hopefully someone on here can idenitfy it.....

It about 3 inches long, however, like and earthworm can extend to over 7 inches when i pulled it out of the water, it has the diameter of about a piece of twine. It's got a white head with two black eyes and black stripes, then the rest of it's body is grey with black stripes....

anyone ever seen it before?

Not a sea snake because it's segmented.

It almost looks like a tapeworm because of the segmented nature, but the head is completely wrong, as well as the behaviour.

check the site marine identification portal it's an annelid worm of some sort but the eyes are odd if real (eyes i mean )

Yes it has definite eyes... well ... two black circles at the base of it's head... it's hard to see in the pic.. but up close the head actually resembles the head of a lighting bug....
