Okay, I'm trying to figure out what is most likely to be sucessful in the longterm out of two scenarios.
Currently I have one female blackspot angelfish (3-4") who is doing quite well in my tank and I want to add another angel to the mix. My LFS just got a male in about thats about the same size. How bad of an idea would it be to add this guy in there straight away after QT? or could I pull the female out and have her in the QT with him the whole time? I'm not sure how angelfish pair up and I don't really care if they do right away, I just don't want the male murdering my female or the other way around...
My other option is to dump the blackspot I currently have and get a much smaller specimen to eventually put in my DT with a female bellus I currently have in QT. This bellus was given to me by a friend and I've weened her back to peak health, so she could easily find another home given her QT is almost finished
I would like to do one of the two if possible, I've just learned to be alot more cautious with my fish purchases after my sailfin went nutso on one of my other tangs (everyone survived and mr sailfin is being banished to a FOWLR setup)
