Reef Safe / host anenomes?

I have two false Ocellaris that are currently anenome-less, 1. because my tank is only 4 months old and 2. because I am afraid to add an anenome that would harm my corals. Are there any reef safe, hosting anenome that I could add in order to give my clowns a home? Also, should I wait for the tank to mature more before even thinking about this? Thanks!

I am assuming that you have the corals in the rocks...if that is the case I would suggest against a BTA, since they stay on the rocks, clone, and the clones will move around.

There is nothing wrong with planning now, but I would wait before getting one.

A sand dwelling anemone would be better, but with your lights, that might be an issue.

I used to have several BTAs in my 75, once I started keeping SPS, they all had to go, were stinging my corals. Now I keep Haddonis and LTAs

No anemone is really reef safe, they can harm corals although many people including myself keep them in reef aquariums. The least light demanding of host anemones is the bta, I believe 4-5 watts per gallon. In my opinion I think you enough light as long as the anemone stays towards the top of your rockwork. It is recomended that your tank be appx. 6 months old and very stable. I am sure you know already there is no gaurantee your Ocellaris will host, it took mine about 9 months to find my bta. Thanks all, yes everyone is very helpful! Right now the clowns are "hosting" at the side of the tank and not swimming around much. So, I was looking to bring them more to the forefront with a place for them to stay. Are there any corals that the clowns find inviting. I know I have seen threads where people see their clowns sitting in a shroom but I can't remember what kinds they were. I have Rics going into the tank now, I am trying to make them attach to a peice of LR now.

My ocellaris who host a rbta started out hosting a big hairy mushroom. Now they occasionally revisit their old friend. Here a shot. Lets see you new addition!

My clown started hosting in a small hammer coral, and then when I added a much larger frogspawn, he switched to the frogspawn immediately, and then I added a Sabae anemone and he switched to that within a few days, and has been in the Anemone for over 4 months. now. Here's a picture of him in the Sabae Anemone.
