G'Day from down under.
I am in the process of setting up a 300gl (1200ltr) reef tank.
I have a 2300x700x800 Aquarium, using a Aqua-Medic reef 2000 filtration system, AT-Control monitoring system, ozone, CO2 for Calcium reactor, Sfiligoi Infinity 3x400W HQI + 8x39W T5 with ACLS controllers.
I would like to keep mainly SPS coral, I have a passion for colourful stoney coral.
My previous methods for keeping a reef tank has been on the basis of conducting long intervals between water changes backed by supplimentation of nutrients using SeaChem products.
I am interested to know what the general consensis is of:
1. Using UV Sterilisers - are they really necessary, pro's and con's??
2. Brand of Chiller, which brands are reliable and represent good value for money, including noise levels??
What are you reccomendations please?
