ReefBrite Halide Hybrid

Been trying to research this fixture and find coverages and such but info seems really hard to find. I have a 36x20x24 being built and was wondering if a single 250w fixture with the strips will cover this, I have seen its setup with great looking results but wasn't an SPS dominated tank like mine will be. Any insight into this fixture would be great! Thank you for your time PA!

It really wouldn't be a problem at all in covering a 36" x 20" tank, and have done so with the same fixture in the past with excellent results. I'd suggest either running the Ushio 14k for a little added punch and higher PAR, but more on the white side in terms of looks, or the 20k Radium for a bit more coloration but slower growth due to a little less light output. Either direction you go you should not have any issues at all with a fully blown sps dominated system with this fixture above it.

Sorry totally forgot I posted here Jeremy, I meant to put 36x30x24! Also looking at the selection on the site kinda confused. Wanting to do 250w SE with the 50/50 strips and 20k radium, do I have to use the RB ballast or could I use any other 250w ballast? But either way the 427 on the site includes all but bulb and ballast, and my choice of LEDs? Just trying to get everything right the first time. Thank you!

I still think I'd try the single halide over the 36" x 30" as you'll most likely still be just fine with it. Another option, and I don't know if you want to do this or not, is to go up to a 400w setup instead of the 250w. My advice would be to start with the 250w though. You can use any ballast, in which I'd do the Luxcore 400 so you have the ability to run 250w or 400w on it.

This is not a problem at all to do the 50/50's in the halide hybrid. All we would need to do is just ship it direct from ReefBrite in NJ rather than shipping from us, since ours have the all blues in it. This would not delay the transit time to you at all.

One last question Jeremy, the LEDs that come with the fixture are they the XHO or Tech version? Just wondering if I would have to upgrade them.

The Halide Hybrid's come with the XHO's right out the box, so need to upgrade with them.

Guessing that is no need but great info! I might even go with 2, I saw on the main reef brite site there is a 36" model, is that different fittings and two fixtures put together or does it come like that expect 1 strip on each side. Thank you for your time.

The 36" fixture is two pendants that are put together by a middle housing. This middle housing has to be done by ReefBrite at their factory though, can't be done after the fact. They do have the brackets which can hold either two or four total strips on them. I'm getting ready to hook put the 36" fixture over the Deep Blue 80g Rimless that will be a shallow all sps tank, will be interesting to see how it works out.

It jumps up quite a bit to the 36" 2 x 250 Hybrid fixture at $899. We do have them available and ready to ship immediately if you decide to go that route though. What size tank would it be on?

Hey Jeremy! Does it come with four strips or do you have to upgrade to that? The fixture would go over 120g 48 24 24 Rimless SPS Dominated tank , and I was thinking 2 20k radiums with luxcores.
