hey i talked to you earlier on the phone and you mentioned a splitter for the reefbrite led tech strips = im not seeing it on your website anywhere am i missing it or did we get mixed up?

say i got crazy would one 2' vertex illumina be good enuff for the 36x36x 18 deep tank placed 8" off the water? the back 4-6" is not really used btw its my overflow- so i could place the illumina a littel forward and light a 36 wide by 30 deep area roughly

lps/softy tank mostly

Sorry for the confusion, here is the link to the ReefBrite splitter:

It's a bit cheaper than I thought, only $3.59.

The 24" Illumina would indeed work, however in my personal opinion there is no way I'd switch away from MH supplemented with ReefBrite's for a Vertex Illumina. You'll draw more power and a have a little more heat to deal with, but the MH w/LED supplementation would far outperform the Illumina in terms of both growth and coloration in my opinion.

Same hold true for the new hydra 52 aqua illumination is bringing out? I'm only growing Lps and soft softy type of stuff no sps- i really like being able to control LEDs through the PC

Also will a 250w pheonix se drown out the 2 24" reefbrite tech lights?

It's hard to say about the Fifty Two since I haven't had a chance to use it yet. However, for just soft / LPS I think you'd be ok with the Illumina, the same goes for the Fifty Two, Hydra, Radion, etc. I even think that you can have a great sps tank w/LED's, I just feel that there is a lot less room for margin of error when you start speaking in terms of sps with LED's verus metal halide or T5.

That 250 Phoenix would not drown out 2 x 24" RB Tech's.
