I just placed an order for a 72" Aqua Illumination system from ReefGeek -- not sure if this would help you guys (or me)?

Whats a great setup of bulbs I should put into my (2) Tek 36 inch x 6. This is my first time buying bulbs for these and need help. I want growth and color! Help?

the best would be to post in the t5 recommendation thread... make sure you give the basic information... how tall is your tank. how far are the bulbs from water line. where are you corals below the water line. what kinda color are you looking for? let me find the thread so you can go directly there... i will edit once i find it...

i personally love the radium look. so i am mixing ati aqua blue special and ati blue plus bulbs (6 bulb setup - 2 x blue+ and 4 x AB special, 4 bulb - 1 x blue+ and 3 x AB special) that gets me the perfect blueish white tone i like while gettign a good amount of par for growth. the blue+ bulbs do give off a good amount of florescence like you have actinic. so i am okay with out having a dedicated actinic. i am buying a few extra bulbs to mess around with. like i picked up fiji purples already... i want to pick up a ge6.5k, the ati sun, and soemthign else i can't remember right now...

if you like to 20k look, i suggest going with a min of 4 ati blue+ bulbs in a 6 bulb setup..

definitely the good think about the at blu+ is that it actually has a good amount of par so no issues like adding more actinic...

someone did ask, does reefgeek have stock for all 70+ bulbs?

as far as the people confirmed, we actually have a good variety of sizes on order. it is not like everyone is getting 4 foot bulbs... when i send in the order i will know right away if there is a shortage of someones order. but right now, i don't see any problems with the group buy quantity right now. if i remeber correctly... he stocks like several boxes of each type in each size... so no issues... i know he just got a fresh batch of fiji bulbs in, cause i had mine on special order before the group buy started...
