Reefpack500 in a sump possible?

I got a Reefpack500 a few weeks ago for my 50g that was going from FW to SW. I didn't want to bother with a external overflow so I got a Reefpack500.
Well I decided that as long as I have the tank down, it's time for an upgrade.
Enter the Oceanic tech 70g with built in overflows. So Now I guess I'm going with a sump.
I know I can use ithe reefpack 500 in the sump with no problem. My question is, will the pump on the reefpack be strong enough to push the water thru my chiller and back to the display or should I replace the pump or should I add another pump in the sump to go thru my chiller and back to the display.
I don't want to add another pump if possible and was wondering if the Powerhead 3000 or the Powerhead 1200/2 would be better than the one in the Reefpack500?

TIA

Joe

I wouldn't advise using the filter pump to run the chiller and return. A stronger pump will cause problems with the filter and generate microbubbles. You can use it in sump provided the installation depth is observed. You will want a seperate return pump.

Thanks for the reply Roger.

I actully put it in my30 cube last night. A good move as the Cube is in my bedroom and the 9005 is the quitest skimmer I've ever run. I ran it last night and my wife had no idea it was running.
Oh and it was collecting skimmate when I check on the way out today.
Whoot. :)
