Reefsavvy's Ghost Overflow: Patent Pending?

Maybe they're being sued? Cease and desist?

I'll sell you my 16" version for $1000

Free overnight shipping. :)

flamron, only if it had assault features like a pistol grip, bayonet lug, and retractable or folding thing that goes up(buttstock) and can accept high capacity weir clips but especially if it is barrel shroud compatible. :lol2:
I thought the gouging was bad on firearms, ammo, and accessories last year...

so I tried to search for a diy coast to coast with bean animal style drawing, anyone have a link? I think I'll have a local acrylic shop just make one

Supply and demand.

It's a great product, and everyone wants one. That's why you are seeing a 6 week delay.

Anyone who has a 16“ actually installed please pm me. I purchased one on 12/3 and am struggling to get proper measurements so my builder can order the glass that I paid for 11 days ago.

That was my first approach and third approach. I do not want to get into it here, I am sure they are just reallllllllly busy. If you have one pleas pm me.

I'm stuck on finding the exact spacing/measurements/placements for the holes on both boxes for 24"

So far for the 24" I've found:
Interior Box: 24″L x 1.4″W x 5.75″H
2 each 2″ Bulkheads, (use 3" holesaw)
Exterior Box: 24″L x 4.5″W x 6.5″H
3 each 1.5″ bulkheads (use 2 3/8" holesaw???)

I am correct on the size of holesaw for the exterior 3 bottom holes? for a 1.5" bulkhead, is a 2 3/8" holesaw the one?

also if any one has edge to hole or edge to center-of-hole dimensions, please pm or reply

Seems the ghost overflows are currently unavailable from reef savvy until sometime next year (2014). To say the least it is pretty upsetting I was really counting on them for my current build I suppose I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I'm in the same boat. I spoke to Reef Savvy via email and he just said early 2014. But that could be a few months out.

I'm having a local guy build me something close. My 120 has a centerbrace so we're keeping the one piece external and making two separate internals, one glass hole each. Will be using the 16" bulkhead sizes.

Anyone see any flow issues with two 8" internal boxes and a 24" external?

Side note the Ghost is on hold until spring 2014. Seems the current design dosn't allow for enough profit margin so a redesign / mold will be used on future production with new pricing. This information could be incorrect but is what I was told.

I will either remain with a glass-holes 1500 or look into having something custom made to use my existing 2 drilled holes.

Regarding the ghost overflow, does anybody know if this can be used on a trimmed tank without the water level being below the trim (i.e., visible through the tank glass)?

It would appear the top of the outside box would hit the trim on the bottom preventing the inside box from being raised high enough to avoid seeing the water line through the tank, since the inside and outside boxes are aligned by the two bulkheads.

Could two bulkhead gaskets (instead of one) be used between the outer box and glass to provide the clearance needed to clear the trim so both boxes could be raised? (On a standard tank, the trim is about 3/16" thick, so I presume two gaskets would provide the thickness needed to clear this dimension).

Thanks for any responses as I am considering using this overflow on a tank upgrade.

Once they start producing again, shoot them an email. Maybe they can offset the outside box and holes a bit to accommodate your trim.
