Reefstews new fish room

For some reason I kept thinking this was a really big waterfall tank and I was asking myself why you would put clowns in that. But I now just realized that's your sump. :rolleye1: You got some great water flow. What kind of equipment are using in/with it?

I have 2 hammerhead gold pumps. 1 for each row of 18 20 gal tanks. Really good water flow but noisy. Their will be 2 80 watt Emperor uv, 1 for each row & I need to purchase some large in sump protein skimmers.

1,000 gpd? Holy cow that's a lot! If you wouldn't mind sharing your water changing procedures I'd sure like to hear what it is.

And kudos to Charles and Spectrapure for coming out to make sure things were set up correctly.

I go through a 275 gal tote every week. The tanks are vacuumed & cleaned on Wed. which is about 50 gal, I also use 40 + gal every week on the reef stew & brine shrimp, around 15 gal on cultures, & then on the weekend water changes & vacuum tanks again.

The new fish room will have a lot more tanks so by going 4x I hope the 4 totes is enough.

Wow what an amazing set up! I would love to come by and pick up a few clowns when my tank is established. Any updates?
