You'll need to use larger plumbing that the threads on that pump to deal with the head pressure. A Mag 18 has 1" threads. I would use 1.5" to 2" pipe from the pump all the way up to the tank, and reduce it down right at the bulkhead.

Be sure to put a union on the pump, and then connect the plumbing to the union. That way you can unscrew the union when you need to remove the pump for cleaning.
 
i will also be making with the plumbing that has three parts that you can turn the knob to stop the water so when i remove something or need to put something in i can just stop the water and take it out and clean
 
Any chance I could have you post pics of the plumbing? I'll be headin down that road in a couple weeks and I'm scratchin up some ideas.
 
well i didnt get the chance to do the plumbing today so i might be doing it tomorrow i will defiantly post pics when i do it though
 
i will post some more pics of the jawfish and sailfin tomorrow and hopefully the plumbing being setup and finished

i am not completely done with all the plumbing but i still have to go back to home depot and get some stuff.

I don't quite understand how you're draining the fuge into the sump. You have a siphon overflow, but is there another drain connected that goes into the filter sock below?
