removing LR

If I remove 1/2 LR will it affect the tank? Some of my LR is too colonized w/caulerpa - too much of a headache to try to keep under control. If put it in fuge w/chaeto, will it eventually re-contaminate my DT (fuge gravity drains directly into DT)? Should I just take out altogether and cook, b/f putting back into system to recolonize w/bacteria? Thanks for any help.

If you put it in the fuge it will most definitely find it's way back into the DT.

I don't know how large your tank is but many seurgeonfish will eat calurpa

What about Kole tang? DT is just 65g - all 3 tanks in system about 110g total water volume. But 65g is just 36" wide.
