I love this thread, check every couple of days for updates/videos. I don't know if I just missed it in the video but what are you using for heaters?

Thanks, there are some threads that I follow that post something every day or two and I found that I really liked that, so I decided to start doing that as well.

I have two BRS 600w titanium heaters controlled by the Apex. I tried two different temp controllers to regulate the heaters and found neither worked as well as the Apex.

Finally had time to watch that Than made. Very impressive.
Are you feeding the gonis or any special treatments? I never had luck with them.

I occasionally feed them oyster feast and benepets but they certainly get micro particles from my usual fish feedings of the frozen foods.

A quick system tour to end 2020!

I had a few aptasias make it from my old system into the new frag tank (There is a aptasia eating file fish in the display tank the makes sure none survive in there:) ).

Over the weekend manually moved a couple, but the problematic ones were on this clam shell. So, I mixed up some Kalk paste, took the clam out, smothered the aptasia in the kalk paste for about 10 mins while keeping the clam in a small container of water. Then I scrubbed the area and rinsed it. Good as new!

I also used glue to glue them into one area where they could not escape and smothered them with the glue. Has worked for me and coraline grows right over it. Non in my new display, cross fingers:). Love your setup and display. Thank you!

Nice trick! In this case I wanted to avoid putting a clump of superglue on the shell.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to move the clam to the display for a day or two?

Nope. This was pretty easy and very effective. I didn't have to worry about if the filefish could get between the ridges of the clam shell or if it could get all of the aptasia tissue.

There was too much flow hitting the arch that I had placed the gonipora on in the display tank. So, I moved them back to the frag tank until I find a lower flow area for them in the display.
