how do you rescue that scolly??? mine one very similar like yours.
Just gorgeous, Ma'am.
Two of my big Trachys have looked like complete crap for almost a week now.
The other Trachys, as well as all other corals in the tank are fine.
Thank ya!
What's going on with your Trachy's? I've had a bit of a problem with my rescue rainbow trachy (that fully recovered) trying to bleach and recede back out on me. What is up with these to rescue?!!!!
I'll do a nice water change today.
Unfortunately, I'm not much help on this one. A local friend gave it to me, and he wasn't sure what was wrong with it. It just kept receding on him. So, I did my usual coral dips and placed it into a healthy system. It recovered on its own. It may have had a parasite that I never saw, or maybe some parameter in his tank was off.
You may want to try giving it to a friend with good husbandry practices to see if the simple change in environment will help.
I use Kent Marine's Lugol's Iodine, but any reef-version should work just fine with the manufacturer's instructions.
I have two lobos that I recently bought. One had some recession that looked old (no white skeleton) and the other was damaged in the bag on the way home. Now, both corals are showing some recession. How should I go about helping these corals?
