Rescue Scoly

I bought a scoly off Craigslist recently. Apparently it is a bleeding apple scoly. The poor thing seems completely bleached and is also loosing tissue at the bottom. But for $10 i figured i'd give it a shot.

Been feeding it Oyester-Feast and mysis. It opens it mouth to eat but doesnt open up all the tentacles like the other scoly i have (War paint or something i believe its called) .

any advice on what i can do to rescue this guy? I have placed under a rock ledge so it doesn't get direct light right now to help with bleaching. What else can i do to help it with tissue recession. It already has some algae growing on the exposed skeleton.

As long as your parameters are within reason and the lighting is sufficient then time is probably all it needs IMO. Eating is always a good sign, so definitely keep offering it food. GL.

it will grow back fine. keep parameters in check, target feed a little of whatever you are giving with pumps off. should bounce back fine.

Keep an eye on coloring. If it's bleaching out its hard to bring those back.

yeah i am pretty confident its bleached. i have never had a bleeding apple but form the pics online, this one definitely seems bleached. It has some nice green around its mouth still.

i think more than color i'd like to see if i can do anything to reverse tissue recession. color will come when it comes. not worry about that. I have bought back bleached acros in the past. takes months.... but it happens
