Return Pump Suggestions

I have a Reeflo BlackFin 6000 to push water about 6' high.
This is for a 300G SPS tank.
Certainly the pump is pushing more water than the overflow can handle & I have had to dial it down.

Also in order to conserve energy, I'm looking for a DC pump. Can anyone please suggest a Good Pump for return. What is the typical turn around rate? Please suggest.

I would suggest one of the reeflo gold pumps like a Dart Gold. The gold pumps run cooler and consume less power. All of them however will pump out an abundance of flow. They happen to run more efficiently when you gate them down after the pump. You might just be best off sticking with what you have.

The alternatives such as Iwaki, Little Giant and the Iwaki clones all run hot and consume lots of power. If I were you I would stick with what you have or maybe consider one of the Eheim pumps.

I was looking into Diable DC.

The issue is the flow is less, especially with head height, flow is greatly reduced.

I guess I have no option but to stick to my pump & wait for innovation to kick in.

Like slief said. If it's dialed back its using less wattage than you may think.
You can buy a watt usage meter for like $20 and check it.
