The tank looks good after a 30 gallon water change with Instant Ocean, I bump up the magnesium and calcium levels in the mixing tank. Sorry about the Mag Float being in the picture. I was having trouble with it scratching my glass so I glued a piece of scrubbing felt to the wet side and it works great.

Your tank looks great! I may have missed this question but have you started trimming already and what are your plans for keeping the corals trimmed and off of each other.

I made a few frags by accident while cleaning. Right now I have been giving frags to my friends as back up in case I ever lose anything but I will cut more as they grow and take out the corals I don't like as the tank progresses.

Your tank is growing in nicely Rick. Glad to see you stuck with it on this second build. A nice variety of corals and more room to grow. Thanks for the update.

Thanks Mark, this is the second rebuild. The first was was barebottom and I used Biopellets. I lost all of those corals and had to start from scratch. Now that I added live sand and a refugium everything is growing well.

Rick,
Awesome comeback...
I like that you have added a fuge, I did the same and am back with another re-build too. I love the diversity of life that a fuge offers, spawning, micro-life, ph balancing, added water to the total volume, etc... Your corals are stunning, I absolutely cannot believe how great this tank is looking, congrats!
Regards,
Perry

Thank you, I have put a lot of effort into making this tank successful, I find water changes and weekly water tests are crucial in maintaining good coloration and growth.

Really nice bro, getting to be quite the collection of high-level reefers in PA these days :-).

Thank you

Very very nice tank, any secrets to keeping your sand bed looking so nice?

The sandbed is stirred up daily from the Vortechs being on the highest flow settings, also I stir it up during water changes.

My wife just cant understand that I want to take out a few of my bigger colonies and replace them with better frags. I just know what I like and what I like even more

Once she sees the better looking corals grow out she will she your vision as well.

Again simply amazing work I can't find a single thread of algea sure wish I had that problem.

Wow your Sps look full of skittles of color.

The algae all thrives on the overflow, it drives me crazy!!! I have more snails arriving tomorrow, I hope they can take care of it. I still have about six named SPS corals that are still brown, this time next year they will look great.
