Very nice Dan!

It ought to be totm. He's getting zeovit - type colors without any bacterial additives. There's only one way to do that. If coral starvation is a cliff, he's hopping with one foot along the edge and managing not to fall in.

Thanks Tony, lol.Your post sound like it could be a new rap song with the right beat applied with that description.:lolspin:

I really love this tank, everything so colourful. What are you using for nutrient export. Any additives also used? Do you use phosphate media?

love encrusting montis but thats why i dont have any : / not enough rock real estate. love the yellow coral.

Thanks, they do become a problem long term and like the sunset will overtake acroporas if given enough time. The one its eating is really not that colorful so I just let nature take its course in this case.

Thanks,
for nutrient export:
Heavy water changes(25% weekly),all surface skimmed water goes thru a 100 micron filter bag(changed twice a week) and wet aggressive protein skimming.Bulk Reef supply GFO in a reactor changed once a month.Black Diamond GAC changed once a month.

Cal reactor for alk and cal maintenance and Randys DIY Mg is added weekly as needed to keep it at 1350 or so

As some of you may know I am a novice at best at photography. I have always battled the too blue syndrome trying to capture the true colors of the corals I shoot.Running Radiums and VHO actinics the tank appears quite pleasing to my naked eyes but as to my dismay my photos look a bit blue no matter where I try the WB with the actual color of the coral not looking correct when I remove some of the blue in post processing.Anyway here are a few shots with no lights on and just ambient light and a flash in some instances for the purists in the crowd

WOW, those shots are great! I know what you mean about getting the true representation of your tank with Radiums and VHO's. It is really tough to photograph, but it seems that you do a great job to me!

Thanks Ryan,I appreciate that.I am always trying for something better I suppose(never satisfied lol).I thought the natural look would be a nice change for a few photos.

danggg dan i love those shots with the colors on those with just a regular flash i would really have to have some of them : / that left branch on the blue stag on the third pic is going to explode i bet your calcium and alk will start dropping alot when that thing starts going. awesome colors.
