rigleautomotive's Tank Pics Thread

You gotta admit its pretty nice looking tank and a good choice. Too many wild and crazy SPS tanks will drive away the diversity of this site. Nice to see some alternatives.

That's your opinion......:)

Na...it was alright but I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the usual busting at the seams SPS or SPS/mixed reef TOTM.

"But this guy is so peacefull and calm I kinda dont hate him.Heck I will go out on a limb here and say I almost like him." I will show you this statement again on the day he starts picking at your sps polyps just for the heck of it, and then i will laugh...

thats what I'm talking bout !!

actually the chalice and zoo shots are nice as well.....heck any of your shots are nice. Keep posting!

Dan, sort of OT but how agressive is the Acropora Abrotanoides? I have an aquacultured colony that is encrusting some choice real estate in my tank! Soon it will come in contact with my fave acros. Is it a lover or a fighter? I have a couple of millies that are almost like hydnophora in their agressiveness.

Jim,Not too bad IMO Its growing in the monster mash of milleporas in my DT and the encrusted base just butted up against the millepora bases with no real bad aggression.Just a bit of slimming at contact points then a stale mate type of situation.

Very nice tank !!
and DAMN, how big is that clam !?~~!~!?

Its like 18 inches now and becoming a bit of a nuisance.Squirting water clear out of the tank occasionally, moving into rock work knocking corals occasionally and twice a year, spawning ,turning the entire tank milk white for a while.Started out 16 years ago as a 4 incher

Although he has a very impressive corals it's not all lineage that makes his tank as amazing as it is.

Thanks,I appreciate

Yeah seeing the clam in person is just crazy that thing is massive.

Too big if that possible. If I had a larger tank, house and pocket book I guess it would be just fine.lol

Awesome pics, I could stare all day with glazed eyes :eek2: What is your flow set up? I noticed you're running some Tunze stream pumps and wonder if your tank circulates in a linear fashion, meaning from side to side - across the front and back or more of a alternating left then right with a meeting in the middle?
