ro/di is thisone good

I don't know about that one. I know that there are a few good ones w/tds meters for 120 or so. That one just seems to cheap. If someone with more experience could jump in with some info because I am also in the process of buying and searching for a good ro/di unit.

well if u notice they never mention what type of membrane the filter is using. What u want is a membrane made by filmtec. Also the membrane that processes 75 gallons per day seems to be the best one to buy. One would think that the unit that does 100 gpd would be good but it doesnt have as good of a rejection rate so the DI would be doing a lot more work than what it would have to if u had the 75 gpd unit.

So is everyone going with the Water General? If so I'll order one as well. Otherwise, what other RO/DI systems have you found?

I have a 75 gallon tank I need to fill.

Thanks,
Anthony H

It says to flush the membrance once every few months for prolonged membrane life. I believe we were told in the meeting that the water inside the membrane, when you first turn it on, is impure and you should flush the membrane for a few minutes before every use unless it's being run as a top-off system. Correct me if i'm wrong.

You might want to think twice about that unit - or at least do some reseach ahead of time so you understand what you're buying/not buying. Think about:

1. Configuation errors - horizontal DI, GAC after the DI
2. No capacity stated for the carbon block
3. No brand name provided for the membrane
4. Overstated life span of the resin

Wow, $61.00 for a whole RO unit? The RO membrane alone would cost you at least $45.00. Wonder how they can sell it sooooo low.
