Thank You, it doesn't bother me at all, it accumulates algae, but my tangs love and pick on it on the daily.
 
Been a while since I updated this thread, 1st year was not as smooth I expected or wanted. Experienced some serious set backs, 1st in July of last year, someone noted I had bite marks, so what I had to be proactive and not try to argue or not believe I had flat worms or any pest of that nature and just do something about it. I took all my sps out and quarantined for 5 weeks and did some major dipping in Bayer insect killer once a week. All of my SPS was glued to live rocks that I was able to take out easily. I never physically saw anything but as a precaution I did anyway, because all of the horrifying stories I have read in these forums, could make man quit and leave the hobby. Anyways after that was done all was well. Until October, I decided to dump dosing, which I did for so many moons and ventured into and invested in a Calcium Reactor. because dosing a 300g tank was to expensive and I could not keep up with the demands of my tank. Push a month forward, I was gone for 3 days and my wife contacted me while I was away and told me our tank was cloudy, but I could not do nothing about it until I got home. When I got home 50% of my SPS was gone and some was white from the base up and some from the tips down. I managed to cut them up and fragged them up and housed them in my frag tank. I think it was due to a faulty solenoid, so I tossed it and bought a Aquariumplants electronic doser, very happy with it. With everything back to normal and restocked my tank some new SPS. everything was coming together and getting a hold on growth is was on the up and up. Well I thought wrong.
I a bought an Achilles from a very trusted seller in December and I only quarantined the fish for 7 days in prazipro, also I already had an Achilles in the tank but half the size of the new one, but I took my chances and put the new Achilles in the DT, after acclimating in the box I let the new one loose. And they fought like pit bulls, I tried to trap but couldn't. I thought they would get tired but they didn't, by the time I got them out, both were beat up and put them in separate quarantine, next thing I know every fish in my tank had ICH, so I all the live rock out to catch the fish and put all of them in quarantine, for 8 weeks. Both Achilles died, all the other fishes pulled through except the only fish I really wanted to pull through aside from my Purple Tang was my GoldFlake Angel. Bummer!! When I took my rocks out, I rescaped and took about 100lbs of LR out, and also the sand and decided to go BB.
Well, everything is back to normal, bought another GoldFlake. And my tank has not looked any better. What a 1st year!! Things are looking good....

I acclimated the new Achilles in a aquamedic trap for a day, only behavior they did was flutter at each other. I was thinking since the the one I already had was twice as small he wouldn't do anything, well my thoughts were wrong. Anything 1st I should have not bought another one unless both introduced together, 2nd I should've did a full quarantine.

Very Nice! How has the gold flake been? I don't see it in any pics. Any nipping? Also how do you like the ATB?

Goldflake is in front of the Naso in the pic.. also my new Joculator Angel.

ATB is the best Skimmer I have owned, hands down.
