Rochester Air Show featuring the Blue Angels

picture hell only hotter. the army does give out free water . cool stuff inside to look at, it just gets misrable with no shade. chairs w/umbrellas are nice if you plan to watch for any length of time. sunscreen/hat /glasses and water bottle are must haves IMO.

there's nothing to sit on. no shade. i'd at least bring a blanket. kind of depends what you want to do. a lot of the planes are tight quarters inside. i take turns /holding the crap or waiting in line. some people skip the festival and just watch the planes.

2nd Shade, was hot today, water ran out. Luckily work was there with their truck I could get into AC and get some cold water.

Went with the family yesterday and as always it was awesome!! Hot as hell out though. Got a lovely sunburn to prove it. :D The P51 Mustang/A10 flight was great. That A10 is such a cool plane. And of course the Blue Angels were amazing!!

Video is a bit shaky without a tripod.

Don't forget the airshow out my way!! The Niagara Falls AFB will be holding one on September 11th. No Blue Angels but the Thunderbirds will be there!!

IMO it was worth the $15 general admission price and the show was awesome.
The Canadian paratroopers landed right in front of us and those stunt planes are amazing... not to mention all the incredible miltary aircraft!

It was hot :ape:

Gary, I wish you would have posted this a couple days earlier! I would have loved to have seen the Angels! How was their demonstration? I've seen the Thunderbirds in Niagara falls, but I've heard that the Angels are much better.

Watched the Angels from a rooftop about a half mile from the airport on Saturday. Unbelievble seeing those things fly right over top of me.

My gf's brother took some videos. He ended up heading back yesterday and said he got some more great shots all in HD.

I'll post when he gets them on Youtube.

I've gone to see them twice in Niagara Falls. They put on an amazing show. The last time I went the visibility was too poor for them to fly. We went both days, very disappointing. At least in Niagara Falls their was no admission fee.

I plan to go to the NF show this year when the Thunderbirds fly. I saw them a few years ago while cruising on the upper Niagara. They also put on an impressive show though you don't hear about them as much.

13 news said 130 F on the tarmack yesterday. i skipped the $20 gate price. had awesome seats outside the gate. the family and i loaded up the cooler, and had a great day sans sunburn.

The Blue Angels are cool, but I like seeing the stunt/acrobatic planes more. To me it seems harder to do their moves and they stay mainly over the airshow the whole time.

Was in the VIP area so I got to see the Angels up close. The A-10 was ridiculously quiet, I couldn't believe it.

I was kind of hoping one of the Angels would do a full speed run down the runway but oh well.
